ripaus kuivattua tilliä

1,5 l vettä

 Ingredients:

1 pkg smoked tofu (300g)

½ ts (smoked) paprika powder
pinch of dry dill

1,5 l water
2 big carrots
6 small or 3 big potatoes
½ ts paprika powder
2 vegetarian stock cubes

It only took 30 minutes to prepare this meal. I have made this soup earlier too, so I expected it to be delicious - and it was! The meal gets ready very fast as it is possible to prepare the two phases of cooking side by side at the same time.

I started by peeling the carrots and the potatoes and then chopped them into cubes. Then I put them to get cooked in a kettle with water and cubes. Having done that, I took a pan, put oil and all the spices there, chopped the tofu into cubes and fried it until it got some nice colour. While the vegetables are being cooked there is a plenty of time for the tofu to get well fried. You cannot really fry it too much, but just avoid burning it! When the vegetables were ready, I just added yet half a teaspoon paprika powder and the tofu cubes into the soup. Ready! I suggest you to taste the liquid though, because with the cubes you never know whether the soup too salty or lacking salt. Depending on the taste, add yet a little water or salt. We got it perfect only with the cubes, though!
